THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION EXPLAINS HOW THE QUOTE SERVICE WORKS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE SERVICE, PLEASE CONTACT US.

The information you provide

1. Answer a number of questions

In order to obtain quotes or a price for a service or product, you will need to answer a number of questions. The answers to these will be passed on to those of our Quote Partners that are able to provide the product or service you require. The answers you give will determine the price you will pay for the product or service should you choose to accept a quote or the price.

2 Provide accurate information

It is important that the information you provide is accurate and that you disclose all relevant facts as this could affect the price quoted for the particular product or service. Please note, if you provide inaccurate or misleading information and take up a quote based on the inaccurate/misleading information - your legal rights to enforce the contract are likely to be affected and, in the case of insurance, a claim could be denied and the insurance invalidated. In some cases, it is a criminal offence to be without insurance.

IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBT AS TO WHETHER YOU SHOULD DISCLOSE SOMETHING, WE SUGGEST THAT YOU CONTACT THE RELEVANT QUOTE PARTNER BEFORE ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH THAT ORGANISATION.

3. Providing information about others

Before you provide information about any person other than yourself, you must ensure that they understand how their information will be used (see our Privacy Policy for details) and that you have their authority to provide it to us and to give the relevant consents on their behalf. By providing their information to us you are confirming this to be the case.

4. UK residency only

Some products and services provided by our Quote Partners are only available to UK residents (which includes Great Britain, Northern Island and the Isle of Man - but not the Channel Islands). By asking for a quote through the quote.co.uk service, you confirm that you and any other person you name who will have the benefit of the quote if it is taken up, is a permanent UK resident.

5. Quote response times

In most cases you should expect to receive your quotes within minutes as they are obtained using a technology process rather than being reliant on people. However, we are dependent on third party computer and communications systems which may affect response times. Overnight requests may be delayed as the computer systems of our Quote Partners may not always be available during these hours. Some of our Quote Partners prefer to contact you directly, usually by email, and this may delay a response.

6. The quotes you receive

We obtain quotes for you from leading online providers and provide you with details ranked in terms of price. In addition to the pricing you will normally provided with details of key terms such as policy benefits, exclusions and excesses for example with insurance quotes. In some cases, for example where you require an unusual service or the product or service you want falls within a category of risk that our Quote Partners do not want to take on, you may receive few or no quotes through this service.

7. Checking your quotes

It is important that you check all the quotes you receive through this service to ensure that the information they hold about you and which they have used to provide your quote is correct (see also section 3 above). Each of our Quote Partners will have its own terms of business (which include making certain assumptions about you and the product/service you require). They may also have specific terms that will apply in respect of your quote. It is your responsibility to ensure that you understand and are willing to accept the terms of our Quote Partner(s) and any restrictions they may impose before you buy.

8. Pricing and price guarantees

Our Quote Partners change their prices from time to time. For some products and services, such as insurance, prices may change daily. When you apply for a quote through Easycover or a site owned or operated by Easycover, our Quote Partners will usually specify how long a particular quote is valid for.

9. How to accept a quote

To accept a quote from one of our Quote Partners, you will need to contact the Quote Partner direct quoting the reference provided to you through this service or from the particular Quote Partner. In most cases, you will be able to do this through a link from this website or our confirmatory email but some Quote Partners offer alternative methods. Your contract will be a matter between you and the relevant Quote Partner.

10. Amendments to information provided to Quote Partners

It is your responsibility to notify the provider of a product or service if any of the information they have about you changes. In some cases, a change in details could affect your legal rights to enforce the contract and, in the case of insurance, a claim could be denied and the insurance invalidated. In some cases, it is a criminal offence to be without insurance.

11. Quote Partners and use of your information

The Quote Partners that provide the best three quotes for the product or service you request may use the information we provide to them on your behalf to contact you by post, phone or email to let you know more about their product/service and facilitate your purchase. If you have not taken up the offer from a Quote Partner after 30 days, that Quote Partner will be required to delete the information we have provided from its records. No other Quote Partners will be allowed to retain or use the data you provide in any way.

12. Complaints about our Quote Partners

Our Quote Partners are chosen because they are experienced providers of the product or services you are seeking and we expect that they will provide good service to you. In the unlikely event you are not happy with the product or service they provide you should raise your complaint with the relevant Quote Partner directly or Contact Us using the link provided.
